Too Good to be Through

Posted on February 1, 2007. Filed under: Main, Web Development |

A team project for an E-Business class at Oklahoma Christian University led to the development of the web site for  in Edmond, OK.  They are a small consignment shop with a wide array of furniture for the home.  You can check out their newest specials by visiting www.toogoodtobethroughonline.com/specials.  Initially created by Kristi Hancock, Joe Karch, and myself during the course of a semester for the class, I ended up consulting and coding portions for the live version for our client.

The major hiccup was with the domain name.  Toogoodtobethrough.com was already taken, though it didn’t actually pointing to a web site.  I tried to contact the person listed as the domain owner, but he never responded.  That was totally frustrating, but a little research led me to file an invalid whois report with the registrar, since the person who registered it didn’t have valid contact info.  He didn’t do what was needed to maintain the domain, so it should be released soon so that the client can register it for themselves, and actually use it.

A little patience and working within the system pays off in the long run.  In the mean time, visit Too Good to be Through at www.toogoodtobethroughonline.com.
